
Distinguished Nutrition Leadership Award 2011
The Danone Institute is offering an annual award to recognize the contribution of an individual or an association to the field of nutrition within Canada. This award is intended to reflect a career devoted to improving nutrition behaviour through the advancement and application of knowledge, novel treatment and prevention strategies or development of nutrition communication aimed at increasing public and professional awareness of the effect of nutrition on health.
Criteria for eligibility for this award include demonstration of innovation, commitment, leadership and long lasting impact on nutrition behaviour. Canadians and landed immigrants are eligible for nomination to receive the award for their work conducted in Canada. The recipient will receive $5,000 CDN and travel expenses for the award presentation at a national conference.
Deadline is November 1st 2010. Nominations should be made in the form of a letter accompanied by an updated and shortened curriculum vitae of the nominee. Self-nomination and peer-nomination are acceptable. Nominees do not necessarily need to be informed of their nomination. A total of two letters of support should accompany the nomination.
Stapled documents should be written on 8 1/2 x 11 paper, and should not exceed a maximum of 20 pages.
